In the spirit of respect and truth, I acknowledge the lands of North America, known by Indigenous peoples of this land, as Turtle Island.

I acknowledge the lands of Southern Alberta that I was raised on and have the privilege to live on as the traditional home to Siksika (Blackfoot), Kainai (Blood), Piikani (Peigan), Stoney-Nakoda, and Tsuut’ina (Sarcee) First Nations. Southern Alberta is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.

I acknowledge the land as an expression of gratitude to the Indigenous people who reside here, and the Indigenous people who have lived on and protected these lands, historically and presently. I acknowledge the enduring presence of all First Nations, Metis, Inuit and Indigenous peoples on Turtle Island, and people from all around the world.  

In reciprocity, reverence and gratitude to Mother Earth and Spirit for holding and supporting all ancestors and beings, thank you.
