Planning for the Fourth Trimester: A 2-Day Postpartum Preparation Workshop

An in-person mini-retreat for expecting couples (20–35 weeks) and their support network to prepare for life after birth.

WORKSHOP ETHOS

You spend months preparing for pregnancy and birth. But what happens after the baby arrives?

The fourth trimester—the critical three months following birth—is a profound physiological, emotional, and relational transition. While modern families spend months selecting gear, building nursery setups, and preparing for labor, mother-specific care after birth is often completely overlooked.

It is incredibly common for families to fall into this gap, leaving mothers feeling under-resourced during one of life’s most pivotal transitions. Intentional postpartum planning changes that narrative, ensuring the mother is deeply resourced so the entire family can truly thrive.

In early postpartum, you often lack the hands, energy, or cognitive capacity to feed yourself nourishing food and stay rested, so it’s important to ask simple (but powerful) questions before the baby arrives…

  • Who will feed you nutritious meals when you don’t have a free hand?

  • Who will protect your physical rest so your body can actually heal?

  • Who will sit beside you when you feel raw, vulnerable, and overwhelmed?

  • Do you have a provider list to support your physical body’s recovery?

  • Who will check in on your emotional health and notice when you’re struggling?

  • Who will support with daily logistics like errands, pets, and housework when you need it?

This postpartum workshop is not child birth education… but it’s equally important.

Childbirth education prepares you for a single day; postpartum planning prepares you for the entire season that follows.

Together, we’ll answer important questions and turn them into a clear, personalized plan—ensuring you and your family navigate this season of recovery and new beginnings feeling resourced, held, and fully supported.

LEARN THE 5 ESSENTIALS OF POSTPARTUM PLANNING

A physiological and holistic framework for your fourth trimester.

To build a plan that truly works, we look beyond basic logistics and turn to the physiological and psychological needs of the postpartum body.

Rooted in traditional postpartum wisdom and evidence-based care, your plan will be built around the 5 Essentials of Postpartum Care.

These five core pillars create the optimal conditions for physical healing, nervous system regulation, and emotional well-being, ensuring you leave the fourth trimester feeling resourced, held, and deeply cared for.

FAQ’S

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

Brittany Zeer, INNATE Postpartum Practitioner

You’ve changed beliefs around postpartum, proving that investing in the early postpartum is what allows the rest of the journey to surrender and bloom.

— Ulana, Past Client

*****

When training as a birth doula, I noticed a critical gap: endless preparation goes into pregnancy and birth, but mothers are sent home with a newborn and very little meaningful support when they need it most.

Even after completing standard postpartum doula training, I didn’t feel fully equipped to support my own sister through her first postpartum season—and that realization changed everything. It led me to become a certified INNATE Postpartum Care Practitioner and establish Blissful Womb Care. Today, I’m devoted to ensuring mothers feel deeply nourished, supported, and cared for during one of life’s most vulnerable transitions.

Brittany is a God send. She will leave you feeling nourished, on all levels - mind, body, heart and spirit!
